Why are we Fundraising so much?
As a class, we are fundraising for 3 items:

Class Night
To offset the price of the venue and any upfront costs.

Alumni Week 2029
Each year, the class celebrating its 29th anniversary has the honor of hosting the Alumni Week Lū‘au. Any and all upfront costs associated with the Lū'au we are responsible for. This includes but not limited to the event theme, décor, setup, entertainment, prep, serving, parking, and staffing. This effort requires a lot of hard work to plan and host a memorable event, which includes raising funds to defray costs for the event. In recent years, classes have had expenses in excess of $30,000.00.

Class Scholarship
This is an ongoing effort to raise a minimum $20,000.00 needed to establish an adequately funded scholarship. We have received 206 gifts for $5,302.00 as of May 2015. If we can raise an additional $8,198.00 for a total of $13,500.00, Pauahi Foundation will match us with the remaining $6,500.00. Typically, when classes start their funds, they have 3 years to endow their scholarship. Even though we aren't their yet, Pauahi Foundation will honor the match agreed upon back in 2010.
We have the opportunity to bank another $2,000.00 FREE if we can complete the Reunion Challenge. (Should we win any prizes from this year's reunion challenge, those funds will still go into our class fund but will not be accounted for as part of the $13,500.00.)
The class of 2000 goals are:
•To have 15% of the class make a gift of any amount = 56 classmates
•To have 56 classmates make a gift of $15.00 or more = $840.00
UPDATE: As of June 30, 2015 We were able to raise $2,147.00 from 33 Classmates. Mahalo to all of you that supported!
Other challenges include:
•The class with the most recurring gifts.
(This can be as little as $1.25 per month on automatic payments.)
•The class that raises the highest total gifts donated from July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015.
